Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, shared significant developments made by the government in a post on his Facebook page.
Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid highlighted that Afghanistan has made notable strides in diplomacy and international relations over the past year. He underscored the recognition of the Islamic Emirate by Russia and detailed that cabinet members undertook 99 official trips abroad to enhance economic, trade, and political ties, showcasing a proactive foreign policy.
The spokesman Mujahid reported that the Ministry of Defense successfully trained 181,084 security personnel last year. Additionally, 100,300 police officers completed training programs focused on security, criminal justice, border control, logistics, and various other fields, marking a critical step toward strengthening Afghanistan’s security institutions.
He noted the completion or ongoing construction of nine major dams, alongside the establishment of 341 smaller check dams. These developments are anticipated to significantly improve water management, enhance agricultural activities, and aid in flood control.
In a significant social initiative, the Spokesman Mujahid mentioned the treatment of 35,228 individuals suffering from addiction, helping them reintegrate into society. He also reported the identification and registration of 10,664 beggars in major cities, each receiving 2,000 Afghanis to support their needs.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled People distributed approximately 12.5 billion Afghanis to over 600,000 orphans, widows, and individuals with disabilities. Each orphan and widow received 2,000 Afghanis monthly, assisting in their welfare.
Regarding Afghan refugees, Mujahid stated that around 2.8 million Afghans have returned from abroad. He emphasized the systematic management of their registration, settlement, and provision of basic services, which has resolved housing issues for many families. The process of distributing land to returnees is currently ongoing.
