Herat Municipality officials have reported the collection of 835 million AFN in revenue over the past three quarters of this year. This significant amount has facilitated the execution of various development projects across the city’s districts.
Spokesman for Herat Municipality, Mohammad Naser Armal, stated that 77 projects have been designed utilizing the collected revenues. Of these, 32 projects have been completed, 40 are currently under construction, and 5 are in the procurement phase.
Armal emphasized that the funds collected are allocated toward public welfare and infrastructure projects with a commitment to transparency. He noted that these projects are designed and implemented in a balanced manner across all districts of the city.
Additionally, Sabawan Kakar, the Municipality’s Monitoring and Maintenance Engineer, assured that all projects are under continuous supervision by technical teams to ensure adherence to technical standards and high-quality work.
Residents of Herat city have expressed satisfaction with the ongoing projects, highlighting the importance of such development initiatives in addressing urban challenges, given the city’s expansion and population growth.
