The Herat Municipality says that the asphalting work of a 2.5 km road extending from Takht-e-Safar to Pul Ansari has started at a cost of over 33 million Afghanis.
Tariq Rahimi, Quality Assurance Engineer at the municipality, told Bakhtar News Agency that this road is being asphalted with financial support from Herat Municipality in the 5th, 8th, and 15th districts of the city.
Rahimi added that the road is 2.5 kilometers long and 7 meters wide, and the work will be completed and handed over for use within 20 days.
It is noteworthy that the second phase of this project, covering a 2 km stretch from Pul Ansari to Ghyasia University, will be implemented in the 1404 fiscal year with an estimated cost of approximately 24 million Afghanis from the development budget.
