Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi emphasized the Islamic Emirate’s ability to maintain and even strengthen its economic and political ties despite facing international sanctions. Speaking at a gathering in Paktia, he outlined the government’s efforts to bolster the economy and engage with the global community.
Minister Muttaqi reported that the Islamic Emirate has established political relations with 40 countries, underscoring a commitment to international diplomacy. He noted the opening of both large and small factories, contributing to the country’s industrial growth, as well as a focus on the healthy extraction of minerals.
The Minister also highlighted progress in managing drug cultivation and smuggling, suggesting that efforts to curb these issues have been effective. He indicated that the management of returning compatriots has been handled well, reflecting a stable approach to internal affairs.
