Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, has underscored the need to strengthen and expand relations between Afghanistan and Turkey.
He made the remarks during a meeting with Sheikh Saniullah Farahmand, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s ambassador to Turkey. According to a statement from the Presidential Palace, Ambassador Farahmand presented a report on the embassy’s recent activities and noted that its officials are consistently working to enhance bilateral cooperation across various sectors, with notable progress achieved so far.
The ambassador also briefed Hanafi on efforts to facilitate services for Afghans residing in Turkey, describing this as one of the embassy’s key priorities.
In response, Deputy PM Hanafi commended the embassy’s performance and stressed the importance of addressing the challenges faced by Afghanistan traders and refugees. He urged embassy officials to intensify their efforts in advancing Afghanistan-Turkey ties, mainly in the realms of trade, politics, and culture.
