Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar, Chief Executive Officer of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), met with officials from Iran’s Transfo and Mabna companies to discuss investment opportunities in electricity generation and the production and sale of power network equipment.
According to Bakhtar News Agency, Hamkar emphasized that investment in electricity generation and electrical equipment manufacturing is essential for strengthening economic cooperation between Afghanistan and Iran. He also welcomed the interest shown by Iranian investors in the sector.
Officials from Transfo and Mapna presented their proposals on electricity generation and the supply of electrical equipment to DABS leadership during the meeting.
Meanwhile, both sides agreed to hold further discussions between representatives of the two companies and DABS’s Investment Attraction Directorate with the aim of reaching formal agreements.
