Nooruddin Azizi, the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan, underscored the importance of peace, stability, and regional economic cooperation while speaking at the “Trust in Trade” conference, held on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
According to Bakhtar News Agency, citing Ministry of Commerce, Minister Azizi spoke on a panel titled “Trust in Trade: The Future of Economic Integration and Stability in South Asia.” He noted that the people of Afghanistan have endured various hardships over the past five decades, and that the country’s assets remain frozen to this day.
He further stated that the Islamic Emirate’s message is one of peace and peaceful coexistence—an approach rooted in religious values and the will of the Afghan people.
In response to a question about the impact of recent regional developments on oil and liquefied gas prices, the Minister explained that the Islamic Emirate had already taken steps to meet the country’s fuel needs and had identified the necessary solutions.
According to Minister Azizi, despite a sharp rise in global prices, the cost of oil products and liquefied gas in Afghanistan has increased by only 3 to 5 percent—a reflection of effective market management and stable supply.
The Minister concluded by welcoming the organization of the conference and expressing appreciation for Turkey’s efforts in addressing regional and global issues, mainly its stance on Gaza.
