The production of cement at the Ghori Cement Factory in Baghlan has increased compared to previous years.
Engineer Shafiullah Wahidi, head of the Ghori Cement Factory in Baghlan, told Bakhtar News Agency that before the return of the Islamic Emirate to power, the factory’s daily production capacity was between 250 and 300 tons. However, through the efforts of the factory’s leadership and employees, its daily cement production has now risen to 700 tons.
He added that with the increase in production, employment opportunities have been provided for about 700 people directly, and for hundreds more indirectly.
Wahidi also said that the first and second factory units are operating normally, and that construction work on the third factory, which was recently launched by the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, is progressing rapidly.
He added that this project will be completed within the next 18 months at an estimated cost of about 86 million dollars, raising the factory’s daily production capacity to 5,000 tons of cement.
