Mawlavi Sadr Azam Osmani, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock at the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, has departed for the Republic of Moldova at the head of a high-level delegation.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, the visit is taking place at the official invitation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The visit is scheduled to continue until 7 August.
The ministry stated that the visit aims to expand cooperation in plant protection, integrated pest management, pheromone technology, agricultural research, and commercial orchard management, as well as to strengthen scientific, technical, and research collaboration between Afghanistan and the Republic of Moldova.
The delegation is scheduled to hold official meetings and technical sessions with the leadership and officials of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova.
The meetings will focus on strengthening cooperation in agriculture, agricultural research, innovation, plant protection, modern agricultural technologies, and the implementation of joint scientific programs.
The Ministry of Agriculture stated that the visit is expected to mark an important step toward facilitating the transfer of advanced European expertise, strengthening agricultural research capacity, introducing modern and environmentally sustainable plant protection technologies, and expanding long-term scientific and technical cooperation between Afghanistan and the Republic of Moldova.
