Qari Hamidullah Tamkin, the Cultural Attaché of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Information and Culture in Turkey, met with Mohammed Saleh Turaik, the Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen, in Ankara.
The two sides discussed shared cultural characteristics between Afghanistan and Yemen, and explored ways to further expand and strengthen bilateral cultural cooperation.
The Yemeni ambassador praised the progress and achievements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and expressed hope that Afghanistan would become a self-reliant, prosperous, and developed nation on both regional and global levels.
He also voiced concern over the situation in Palestine—particularly in Gaza—and emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity among the Muslim Ummah.
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Turaik assured full cooperation with the Afghan embassy in promoting common cultural and historical values.
