Afghanistan, Uzbekistan Reaffirm Commitment to $5 Billion Trade Target

‎The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment announced that officials of the chamber and a high-level Uzbek delegation reaffirmed their joint commitment to achieving the $5 billion bilateral trade target during a meeting in Kabul.

According to a statement issued by the chamber, Sayed Karim Hashemi, head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, met with Jamshed Khodjaev, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, and his accompanying delegation.

‎During the meeting, the two sides discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, transit, and economic ties between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.

‎The discussions also focused on increasing bilateral trade, exchanging business delegations, granting preferential tariffs for Afghan exports, and strengthening private-sector partnerships and cooperation.
