Mawlavi Qudratullah Jamal, Deputy Minister for Tourism, Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Information and Culture, met with Dr. Ali Mardaf Al-Qashouti, Ambassador of Qatar to Kabul, to discuss the development and strengthening of tourism cooperation between Afghanistan and Qatar.
According to Bakhtar News Agency, during the meeting, the two sides emphasized further expanding friendly and close relations between Afghanistan and Qatar and expressed appreciation for the Qatari government’s cooperation and support for Afghanistan.
Attracting Qatari tourists to Afghanistan, introducing Afghanistan’s natural, historical, and tourism attractions, creating investment opportunities for Qatari investors in Afghanistan, and establishing a formal framework for tourism cooperation between the two countries were among the key topics discussed during the meeting.
Mawlavi Qudratullah Jamal, Deputy Minister for Tourism, Finance and Administration, provided information on Afghanistan’s tourism potential and said that the country has significant potential in terms of natural beauty, historical monuments, archaeological sites, and various tourist attractions. He added that Afghanistan also offers suitable opportunities for cooperation with Qatari tourists and investors.
Dr. Ali Mardaf Al-Qashouti, Ambassador of Qatar to Afghanistan, highlighted the importance of relations between Afghanistan and Qatar and described culture as one of the fundamental elements of civilizations.
He added that civilizations do not disappear easily and that people play an important role in creating, preserving, and developing civilizations. The Qatari ambassador also emphasized the importance of cultural relations between the two countries and stressed the need for continued engagement to further expand relations and strengthen joint cooperation.
