Afghanistan, Kuwait Discuss Expansion of Economic and Trade Ties

‎Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with Mohammed Nasser Mohammed Al-Sayer, CEO and investor of Kuwait’s Al-Sayer Trading Company, to discuss trade and investment opportunities in Afghanistan.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting covered Afghanistan’s current situation, security, stability, and available opportunities in trade and investment.

‎The two sides emphasized expanding economic and trade relations, strengthening bilateral cooperation, facilitating travel and movement, and making effective use of investment opportunities in Afghanistan.

‎The Minister of Foreign Affairs described relations between Kuwait and Afghanistan as historic and positive and expressed hope for further expansion of comprehensive ties between the two countries.

‎Mohammed Nasser Mohammed Al-Sayer also expressed satisfaction with his visit to Afghanistan, saying that he plans to establish trade relations with Afghanistan in the future.

‎He added that Al-Sayer Company is determined to export dried and fresh fruits from Afghanistan to Kuwait and other markets.
