In a first for Afghanistan, 21 metric tons of detergent products manufactured by Bactra Company have been exported to London, UK, with a total value of $30,000.
At a ceremony held to mark the milestone, representatives of local private manufacturers praised the shipment as a major step forward for Afghanistan’s domestic industry and an opportunity to showcase high-quality national products on the global market.
Hafiz Amir Mohammad Muttaqi, Head of Industry and Commerce in Balkh, stated that this export proves Afghanistan’s production capabilities and quality are now competitive internationally. He affirmed the Islamic Emirate’s full support for local businesses and encouraged investors to contribute to economic growth and youth employment.
Imamuddin Sanaeezada, Head of Balkh’s Chamber of Industries and Mines, welcomed the move and noted that such exports not only promote economic growth but also help build international trust in Afghan products.
Ehsanullah Amini, Bactra’s CEO for the Northern Region, confirmed the shipment and said the company had previously exported products to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan as well.
Since the Islamic Emirate came to power, more than 300 new factories have started operating in Balkh alone, creating thousands of jobs for Afghan youth.
