Local officials in Kunar Province say that 908.09 kilograms of beryl stones, recently extracted from mines in the province, have been sold to traders through an auction.
Mawlavi Mohammad Shirin, Head of the Kunar Directorate of Mines and Petroleum, stated that the beryl stones were sold for 154.621 million AFN, of which 15.4621 million AFN was transferred to the budget of the Islamic Emirate.
It is worth noting that following the reestablishment of the Islamic Emirate, illegal mining has been banned across the country, and mining activities are now carried out legally.
