Mohammed Nasser Mohammed Al-Sayer ,Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait’s Al-Sayer Group, has voiced a keen interest in broadening the conglomerate’s trade and investment footprint in Afghanistan, following high-level discussions with Nooruddin Azizi, the Afghanistan’s Minister of Industry and Commerce.
According to an official statement from the ministry, the meeting was also attended by Mawlavi Mohammad Shafiq Khatib, Afghanistan’s ambassador to Kuwait, and Qari Mohammad Asif Ilyas, the ministry’s head of information and communications and official spokesperson.
During the talks, Mohammad highlighted the substantial opportunities available within Afghanistan, particularly emphasizing the export potential of Afghan products to international markets.
Welcoming the Kuwaiti firm’s initiative, Minister Azizi affirmed that his ministry which oversees industry, trade, investment, transit, and entrepreneurship stands ready to extend comprehensive support to prospective investors and traders. He characterized Afghanistan as a market rich with diverse trade and investment avenues, asserting that capital infusion into the industrial and commercial sectors could yield highly favorable returns for investors.
Additionally, Minister Azizi noted that while the country’s security apparatus has successfully fulfilled its obligations, it is now imperative for sectoral government institutions to diligently execute their respective mandates to sustain this economic momentum.
