Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs says it has summoned the Pakistani Chargé d’Affaires in Kabul following last night’s airstrikes on the provinces of Paktia, Paktika, and Kunar. The ministry said it conveyed its strong protest over the violation of Afghanistan’s airspace and the targeting of civilian homes.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the actions of Pakistan’s military regime as a clear violation of international law, humanitarian law, and Afghanistan’s national sovereignty, and strongly condemned the attacks.
The ministry further stated that Pakistan has repeatedly blamed Afghanistan for its internal security incidents over the past years without providing credible evidence or documentation.
