A total of 491 Afghan migrants were released from various prisons in Pakistan and returned to Afghanistan through the Torkham crossing in Nangarhar and the Spin Boldak in Kandahar.
The Ministry of Refugees’ press office reported today that, according to data from the repatriation departments of the Refugee and Repatriation Directorates in Kandahar and Nangarhar, 379 individuals entered Afghanistan via Torkham, while another 112 returned through Spin Boldak.
The returnees included families and individuals who had been detained for lacking legal residency documents. After being registered and receiving assistance, they were transferred to their home areas.
