Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar, Chief Executive Officer of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), has called for the rapid implementation of the 500 kV Shiberghan–Dasht-e Alwan power transmission line project.
During a meeting with Shirbaz Kaminzada, head of Afghan Invest Company, Hamkar stressed the urgency of accelerating and completing the remaining work on the initiative. According to a statement released by DABS’s press office, he emphasized that timely completion is critical for strengthening the national power sector and meeting public electricity needs.
Hamkar also reaffirmed DABS’s commitment to providing comprehensive and effective cooperation to ensure the project’s success.
In response, Kaminzada assured that the outstanding work would be completed more rapidly, pledging that all activities would proceed according to the scheduled timeline.
The 500 kV transmission line is considered a flagship project in Afghanistan’s energy sector. Once operational, it is expected to significantly reduce existing power shortfalls and drive notable progress in the country’s energy infrastructure.
