Over 2,600 Carats of Emeralds from Panjshir Sold to Local Traders

A total of 2,639 carats of emeralds, valued at 3,172,000 Afghanis, were sold at an auction to local traders in Panjshir province.

Saifuddin Laton, spokesperson for the Governor of Panjshir, confirmed that the sale of this newly extracted emerald stock took place in the presence of a delegation from the Mine Protection Committee.

He further noted that mining activities in Panjshir are expanding, with the scope of extraction increasing steadily each day.
