Firefighters have been battling a blaze in a busy market area in Mandawi in PD1 of Kabul city since early Sunday morning.
Latest reports indicate fire has spread to a second building.
TOLOnews journalist Zabiullah Jahanmal reporting from the scene said the fire spread to a second building despite efforts by firefighters to extinguish the blaze.
The fire started at about 7am in a shopping center that sells mostly plastic products, Jahanmal said, adding that “so far no injuries have been reported but hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of damage has been sustained.”
