Kabul Municipality has announced its commitment to collaborate with the Afghanistan Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock to establish standard cold storage facilities and bolster support for the domestic private sector.
In a statement from the Press Office of Kabul Municipality, Mawlavi Abdul Rashid, the Mayor of Kabul, emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in economic infrastructure during a recent meeting with Khan Mohammad Forotan and the board members of the Afghanistan Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock.
Mayor Rashid outlined plans for the municipality to work alongside the domestic private sector to construct several commercial centers designed to foster sustainable economic growth and create a secure investment environment in Kabul.
He highlighted the municipality’s intent to provide essential support for the private sector, attract domestic investment, and set up standard cold storage facilities while ensuring equitable urban service development aligned with the principle of balanced growth.
In response, Khan Mohammad Foroutan and the board members expressed their appreciation for Kabul Municipality’s initiatives and pledged to enhance their collaboration on development projects aimed at fostering economic growth in the city.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Afghanistan Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock awarded Mawlavi Abdul Rashid a certificate of appreciation for his significant contributions to urban management, the construction of cold storage facilities, the development of specialized commercial centers for dried fruits in the Cinema Behzad area, and overall support for domestic production.
