Officials from the Kunar Department of Mines and Petroleum have announced the successful sale of precious and semi-precious stones in the province through a recent auction.
Mawlavi Sherin Agha, head of the department, reported that a total of 736.44kgs of these valuable stones were auctioned off for 25.5 million afghanis. From this auction, 2.5 million AFN will be allocated to the state treasury.
This marks another instance of the province’s ongoing efforts to sell precious and semi-precious stones through transparent auction processes.
