Officials from the Herat Chamber of Industries and Mines say that currently, one hundred industrial companies in the province export their products to international markets.
Abdul Naser Amin, head of the Herat Chamber of Industries and Mines, told the Bakhtar News Agency that the main export items from this province include yarn, aluminum utensils, various beverages, food products, and pickles — which are exported to European, American, and Asian countries.
According to him, the yarn produced in the Herat Industrial Park is of global quality and is exported to countries such as Turkey and China.
He added that the quality and packaging of domestic products have significantly improved in recent years, and currently, around 350 types of exportable goods are produced in Herat’s factories.
Based on information from the Herat Chamber of Industries and Mines, more than 1,700 companies are currently active in the province’s industrial park, employing about 150,000 workers.
