A suicide bomber targeted a convoy of Logar governor and the provincial NDS chief on Sunday, said Nasir Ghairat, member of Logar Provincial Council.
Ghairat said the incident occurred in Safid Sang area in Mohammad Agha district of the province.
“Casualties are feared but the governor and the provincial NDS chief have survived the attack,” Ghairat said.
Unconfirmed reports say that seven bodyguards of the governor have been wounded in the attack, but provincial security officials have not commented about it.
Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
