According to Iranian media outlets, Tehran plans to target U.S. military bases in the region in the coming days, escalating tensions amid ongoing conflict.

Tensions between Iran and Israel have sharply escalated following Israel’s airstrikes targeting key Iranian military and nuclear sites. Iranian officials have vowed to continue their retaliatory strikes, signaling that attacks will not cease after Saturday’s missile strikes.

Iranian sources indicated that, in the coming days, U.S. military bases will also become targets. The announcement has raised alarms, with the U.S. warning of severe consequences for any attacks on American personnel or assets, particularly in the Security Council session.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military has declared its intent to persist in its strikes on Iranian targets. Israel’s air force continues to target locations it claims are essential to preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

The attacks on Iran, initiated on Friday morning, have resulted in significant casualties, including 78 deaths and 320 injuries. Among the dead are senior military commanders and key nuclear scientists. Israel justifies these strikes as part of its efforts to disrupt Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

In response, Iranian officials have deemed further nuclear talks with the U.S. meaningless, following the escalation. Although they stopped short of formally canceling the talks, tensions remain high, as both sides prepare for further military operations.

The scheduled round of nuclear negotiations between Iran and the U.S. in Oman on Sunday has been canceled, confirmed by Oman’s Foreign Minister.

The international community remains concerned about the consequences of the escalating conflict, with calls for restraint coming from multiple global actors to avoid a larger regional war.
