Call for Cooperation in Health Services for Returning Migrants

Mawlavi Abdul Wali Haqqani, the Deputy Minister of Health Services at the Ministry of Public Health, urged both domestic and international organizations to enhance their cooperation with the Ministry to improve health services for returning migrants.

During a meeting, Deputy Haqqani emphasized the need for a coordinated approach among relevant institutions to effectively implement an operational plan aimed at delivering equitable health services to migrants.

The meeting included insights from the International Organization for Migration (IOM), which presented a report on the challenges confronting returning migrants. Deputy Haqqani reiterated the necessity for all agencies to work closely with the Ministry to overcome these challenges and ensure comprehensive healthcare access.

Representatives from UNICEF and the Aga Khan Foundation also attended and expressed their commitment to supporting the Ministry of Public Health in providing essential health services to migrants.
