Khawfi Charity Foundation Opens Elementary School for Needy and Orphaned Children in Herat

The Khawfi Charity Foundation has inaugurated a new elementary school aimed at providing equal educational opportunities for underprivileged and orphaned children in Herat.

The school, which has the capacity to accommodate 500 students, serves boys and girls in grades one through six.

According to a report by Bakhtar News Agency, Faiz Ahmad Khawfi, head of the Khawfi Brothers Trading Company, announced a significant investment of $1 million for the expansion and development of the school.

In addition to primary education, the school plans to introduce vocational classes, enabling students to acquire practical and professional skills alongside their general education.

Mohammad Younus Mohmand, the first deputy of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, praised the Khawfi Foundation’s efforts, highlighting the importance of improving education levels as a cornerstone for the progress and development of Afghanistan.
