Local officials in Nangarhar said during their annual accountability report that since the start of 1402 solar year, nearly 99,000 acres of usurped state-owned land have been reclaimed in this province.

“98516 acres of usurped land have been taken back and 132837 land is under investigation by the technical board,” said Saeedullah Banuri, the deputy governor of Nangarhar.

Banuri also said that efforts are underway to reclaim other usurped lands in this province.

He stated that since the beginning of this year, they have completed the work of several incomplete projects and the work of extracting some mines has also started.

He added that during this year, they were able to prevent deforestation and drug trafficking.

He also considered the completion of the reconstruction work of the Torkham-Jalalabad and Jalalabad-Kabul roads as one of the important achievements of this year.
