As part of Bayat Foundation’s ongoing efforts to help needy Afghans, the organization has distributed food items to refugees returning from Pakistan who have been placed at the Anzargi temporary camp in Kandahar province.
Bayat Foundation officials vowed that they will continue to provide much needed assistance to returnees across the country.
“In continuation of Bayat Foundation’s assistance to returning refugees, which has previously been in Kandahar and Nangarhar, today, we came to Kandahar again to deliver food items, including flour, oil and rice. We also distribute aid to the returnees who have gone to other provinces,” said Haji Mohammad Ismail, deputy head of Bayat Foundation.
Meanwhile, recipients of the aid expressed their satisfaction and asked other aid organizations to follow suit.
“Thank you very much to the Bayat Foundation team. I would like to tell my compatriots to return. Preparations have been made here,” said Abdullah, a returnee.
Abdul Razzaq, another returnee, said: “Bayat Foundation delivered food aid. There (in Pakistan) we sold everything we had to find travel fare and leave.”
Bayat Foundation has always provided necessary assistance to needy families across the country and has stood by the government and people in difficult times.
