Suhail Shaheen, the Islamic Emirate’s designated permanent representative to the UN, has been appointed head of the Islamic Emirate’s political office in Doha.
A source from the Islamic Emirate told TOLOnews that Shaheen will simultaneously hold the post of the Kabul-designated permanent representative to the UN.
Previously — during the peace negotiations – Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar headed the office. Baradar is now Deputy Prime Minister.
