A US soldier was killed and another was wounded in an apparent insider attack in capital Kabul.
“One US service member was killed and another was wounded in an apparent insider attack in Kabul, Nov. 3,” the Resolute Support Mission said in a statement on Saturday.
The statement further added that “Initial reports indicate the attacker was a member of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces. Initial reports also suggest the attacker was immediately killed by other Afghan Forces.”
“The two US service members were medically evacuated to Bagram Airfield. The wounded service member is undergoing medical treatment and is in stable condition,” the statement added.
This comes as a Czech soldier was killed and two others were wounded in a similar incident in western Herat province of Afghanistan over a week ago.
