Canada is playing the trick of thief crying “stop thief”!

Recently, the house of representatives of Canada, thousands of miles away from China, voted to pass a motion on China’s Xinjiang. The content of the motion is very stale, which is nothing more than accusing the Chinese government of violating the human rights of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang and falsely claiming that the 2022 Winter Olympics should be held in other places. In the field of human rights, a country with a lot of notorious records interferes in the internal affairs of another country according to the fake news of hearsay. It’s really a trick of thief crying “stop thief”.

In the history, the federal government of Canada implemented a compulsory policy of aboriginal integration into Christian society and learning English in the early 20th century. To this end, the government forcibly took nearly 150000 children from aboriginal families and sent them to 130 boarding schools across the country. During this period, some children were abused and sexually abused in schools. In modern times, the systematic violation of human rights in Canada, especially the treatment of aboriginal people, is still so bad that some political parties in Canada call for a thorough investigation. Under the pressure of various parties, the Canadian government issued an investigation report on the disappearance and victimization of aboriginal women in June 2019. The report shows that thousands of aboriginal women have been missing or killed in Canada in the past few decades. I would also like to point out that the Canadian side’s launch of the so-called “declaration against arbitrary detention” with some other countries is very hypocritical. There can be no better definition of arbitrary detention than the detention of Ms. Meng Wanzhou. What is more despicable is that even though some countries unequivocally said they do not approve of or participate in the joint signing of the so-call “declaration”, Canada put them on the endorsement list against their will. It can be seen that a country like Canada is a typical hypocrite of “saying one thing and doing another”!

Many of the Canadian legislators who participated in the voting have not been to Xinjiang or even China. They are neither willing to know the truth, nor willing to believe it, because their only purpose is to discredit China. They intend to get their way, by hook or by crook.

China always protects and promotes human rights. As the largest developing country, China pursues a people-centered vision, regards the rights to subsistence and development as the primary, basic human rights, and works hard to promote the comprehensive and coordinated development of economic, social, cultural rights as well as civil political rights. Since the PRC was founded more than 70 years ago, China’s per capita GDP has grown from less than $30 to over $10,000, and more than 800 million people have been lifted out of poverty. For the first time in our nation’s history, absolute poverty is eradicated. Let’s take Xinjiang for instance. Over the past 60-plus years, Xinjiang’s aggregate economy grew over 200 times, per capita GDP nearly 40 times, and people’s life expectancy from 30 to 72 years. From 2010 to 2018, the Uygur population in Xinjiang increased from 10.1715 million to 12.7184 million, an increase of 25.04%. The growth rate of Uygur population is not only higher than 13.99% of the total population in Xinjiang, but also higher than 22.14% of the total minority population, and more significantly higher than 2% of the Han population. As for the students of Xinjiang vocational education and training centers mentioned by some public opinions, I can say that all the students of these centers have already graduated, and now most of them have lived a normal life and integrated into the society.

Many Afghan friends have visited Xinjiang, and they obviously scoff at the above rumors. Therefore, we advise the Canadian government to pay more attention to its own economic and social development, the human rights of its own aboriginal people, the prevention and control of its own epidemic situation, and do less harming others without benefiting oneself!
