Local officials in the northern Balkh province say supporting the private sector is one of their priorities, appreciating the sector for its investment in Afghanistan.
Mohmmad Eshaq Rahgozar, governor of the province, on Tuesday made a visit to a local company Amin Noor, which produces rickshaws, cars and batteries, and thanked its funders and employees for their hard work.
He called the development is an important step towards the self-reliance, promising to support domestic products including that of the factory.
A representative of the company said their factory was established on 156 acres of land in Amir Ali Sher Nawai Industrial Park in 2016, adding it has produced 280 rickshaws and 75 electric and fuel cars so far.
He said apart from engine all parts of their products were made in the factory.
