The Afghan government approved four new contracts during the latest meeting of the National Procurement Commission chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
The Office of the President, ARG Palace, said the latest meeting of the National Procurement Commission was organized in ARG Palace on Sunday evening.
A statement by ARG Palace stated that the meeting reviewed the contracts for 20 projects having a total value of 1.3 billion Afghanis and approved four of them.
The contracts approved during the meeting include reconstruction and repair of 34km Kabul-Ghazni highway and procurement of medicines for the Ministry of Higher Education and medical facilities of the Ministry of Public Health.
Other contracts approved during the meeting include procurement of 127 clothing items for army units of the Ministry of Defense and construction of sample complex building in Khost province.
Members of parliamentary group for fighting corruption, parliamentary commission members for the budget and financial affairs, Resolute Support Mission representative, and members of the other monitoring groups were present at the meeting, the statement read.
