A commercial market costing 34 million Afghanis has been completed and inaugurated in the Takhta Begi area, near the municipal pump in Khost city.
According to Bakhtar News Agency, the market was constructed on two jeribs of land belonging to the provincial Directorate of Agriculture by investor Hanif Niazi over a period of two years, at a cost of 34 million Afghanis.
The source added that the commercial market comprises 177 shops and is expected to create direct and indirect employment opportunities for around 200 people.
Meanwhile, several residents of the area said that the country’s stable security situation has created favorable opportunities for trade and investment. They added that the establishment of similar commercial centers could contribute to economic growth while creating opportunities for employment and business.
