According to a reporter from Bakhter News Agency, during a ceremony held for this occasion, Mawlavi Abdullah Mukhtar, the Governor of Khost, said in his speech, it is a joyful moment that we are taking another major step toward the progress and self-sufficiency of the country, and the great wish of many investors in the country is being realized today.
He added this development is neither the first nor the last, and since the reestablishment of the Islamic Emirate in the country, many large and small vital projects have been implemented.
The Governor of Khost urged Afghan investors and traders from across the country and abroad to come and invest within the country.
He also requested industrialists to focus on the quality rather than the quantity of production so that the manufactured products will have a good market in the future.
During the ceremony, Mawlavi Shams-ul-Ahmad Barkatyar, Head of Industry and Commerce of Khost, described the start of construction of production factories in Khost Industrial Park as an important step and emphasized its significance for the country’s self-sufficiency in producing various goods.
Similarly, Gul Zali Jananzoy, Head of Khost Chamber of Industries and Mines, stated that currently about 150 production factories operate in Khost scattered across different locations, and with the opening of this industrial park, appropriate space and necessary facilities will be provided for them.
He added that the park, called “Bagh-e-Samawat”, covers 400 jeribs of land in Khost and has the capacity to accommodate the construction of 200 production factories.
