A senior U.S. intelligence official has resigned in protest against Washington’s recent strike on Tehran.
Joseph Kent, the head of U.S. counterterrorism, stated in his resignation letter that Iran did not represent an immediate threat to U.S. national security.
He further accused former President Trump of launching the attack under pressure from Israel and its lobbyists, characterizing the strike as unjustified.
Kent also warned of the broader consequences of the attack, predicting that the United States would face significant losses and would ultimately fail in this conflict.
