The United States has raised the reward for the capture of Nicolás Maduro, the President of Venezuela, to $25 million.

Although Venezuela’s electoral commission and Supreme Court declared Maduro the winner of the election after six months of dispute, the details and vote counts were not disclosed.
The Biden administration has stated that Nicolás Maduro did not win last year’s election and does not recognize his presidency.
According to Reuters, the Biden administration increased the reward for information leading to Maduro’s arrest from $15 million to $25 million.
This reward has been set due to drug trafficking charges against Maduro.
