A US forces vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device (IED) in Afghanistan province on Saturday morning, the Resolute Support mission said in a statement.
Sources said the explosion happened in the southern province of Kandahar.
The statement added that the incident is under assessment and that more information will be provided as it becomes available.
Taliban claimed the responsibility of the attack.
