At least two security force members were wounded in an explosion on a police vehicle in Kabul on Tuesday morning, a security source said.
The blast happened in Joy-e-Shir area in Kabul’s PD2 in which a police vehicle was targeted, the source said.
Police have not yet commented on the blast.
No group has immediately claimed responsibility for the blast.
This comes as two IED blasts happned in Kabul on Monday in which one civilian and a security force member were killed and a security force member was wounded.
The first blast occurred in the Shaheed roundabout in Kabul in PD10 after Khushnood Nabizada, head of the office of the state minister for peace affairs’ vehicle was hit by an IED.
Nabizada and two of his children were in the vehicle when the blast happened, but no one, including his driver, was hurt, said relatives.
The second blast happened about 12:00pm local time from an IED hitting an army vehicle in the Jangalak area of PD7 of Kabul city in which one civilian and a security forces member were killed and another security forces member was wounded.
UNAMA condemned Monday’s attack and “all attacks against civilians” and urged the “Afghanistan peace talks to move forward.”
