The construction of two medical centers in the Qarqin and Mangjec districts of Jawzjan has been completed and they have been officially inaugurated.
Mohammad Ishaq Sahebzada, the Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Public Health, assured during the inauguration ceremony of these two medical centers that efforts are being made to appoint specialist doctors and to equip medical centers with advanced facilities.
Sahebzada stated, “We are striving to attract skilled personnel and specialists to hospitals in Afghanistan and provide them with work opportunities. The goal of the Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate is to continuously increase and better equip its health centers.”
Zabihullah Hosseini, the head of public health in Jawzjan, said, “We are surveying vulnerable and underserved areas that lack access to healthcare services.”
These medical centers, which have cost over 31 million Afghanis, have been funded by an international organization.
Residents of the Qarqin and Mangjec districts of Jawzjan, while welcoming the completion of these two medical centers, have called on authorities to provide more facilities in the healthcare sector.
Abdul Khaliq, a resident of Qarqin district, Jawzjan, said, “Our village was very far from the district clinic, and it was impossible to transport patients and children to the center.”
Abdullah, a resident of Qarqin district, Jawzjan, said, “We are very happy that a clinic has opened here now.”
According to information from the Jawzjan Public Health Directorate, this is the fourth medical center to be inaugurated in remote districts of this province in the past two days.
