“Taliban Infiltrators” Kill Soldiers in Ghazni

A source told  that at least 23 members of the local army, under the command of the Defense Ministry, were killed in an attack by a group of Taliban infiltrators in Qarabagh district in the central province of Ghazni on Friday evening.

But a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Fawad Aman, claimed that nine members of the local army were killed in the attack.

The incident occurred in Marawar village, in Qarabagh district, and was carried out by seven attackers, according to the source.

The attackers have “taken the weapons of the soldiers and have joined the Taliban,” the source said.
