Taliban deny claim of differences in Qatar office

Taliban on Sunday rejected the reports of dissensions and changes of leadership in Qatar office, the group spokesman said.
On Saturday, a source close to Taliban claimed that changes would be made in leadership of Qatar office before direct talks with US.
The source has said differences emerged among the Taliban after Sher Mohammad Abass Stanikzai head of the office made some self-decisions.
Zabihullah Mujahid, Taliban’s spokesman, in a statement strongly rejected the claims as a baseless and said their officials in Qatar office were committed and there was no difference among them.
It said the office head never made any self-decision without permission of leadership and all the officials of the political office have always defend their ideology, regulations and made strong relations with international community in political ground.
Their successful efforts led to credibility and the political program was underway with obedience and sincerity so far, the statement read.
Taliban gained major achievements in political area recently but the intelligence circles accelerated their efforts to spread rumors and baseless allegations, the statement concluded.
