Standard 100-Bed Hospital to Be Constructed in Panjshir Center

The local administration of Panjshir province has announced that a budget of 148 million Afghanis has been approved by by Amir al-Mumineen ( Hafizahullah), the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate for the construction of a 100-bed standard hospital in Baharak village, located in the provincial center.

Saifuddin Latun, spokesperson for Panjshir authorities, told Bakhtar News Agency the hospital will include surgical, internal medicine, pediatric, gynecological, orthopedic and other specialized departments to provide quality healthcare for both central and remote districts.

The three-story facility will feature dedicated units for ophthalmology, ENT, operating theaters, pharmacy, X-ray, mortuary and patient waiting areas. “This hospital will significantly reduce Panjshir residents’ need for specialized treatment elsewhere by providing accessible, advanced care,” Latun added.

Governor Hafiz Mohammad Agha Hakim hailed the project as a major leap in healthcare services, thanking the Islamic Emirate leadership for their support. Currently, the 50-bed Rukha District Health Center serves as Panjshir’s temporary medical hub with advanced equipment and laboratory facilities.
