Saudi Arabia Donates 100 Tons of Dates to Afghan Red Crescent Society

The King Salman Charity Foundation of Saudi Arabia has donated 100 tons of dates to the Afghan Red Crescent Society.

The handover took place today, Sunday in Kabul, facilitated by Faisal Talq Al-Baqmi, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and received by Sheikh Shahabuddin Delawar, President of the Afghan Red Crescent Society.

During the ceremony, Sheikh Shahabuddin expressed his appreciation for the generous assistance from Saudi Arabia, highlighting the deep-rooted historical ties between Kabul and Riyadh, which are founded on shared faith and cultural values.

Ambassador Al-Baqmi reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to providing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan, ensuring that support will continue in the future. He noted the positive relationship between the two nations, which has been strengthened through acts of kindness and mutual aid.

The donation follows a recent contribution from the King Salman Charity Foundation, which included 5,000 sheep, benefiting approximately 8,000 needy families across Kabul, Parwan, Logar, Maidan Wardak, and Paktika provinces. The Afghan Red Crescent Society has called for ongoing support to help meet the pressing needs of the Afghan population.
