Salam Telecommunications has officially commenced operations in the remote “Darra” area of Argun district, Paktika province.
Mullah Mohammad Anwar Qiyam Adel, head of Telecommunications and Information Technology for Paktika, informed the Bakhtar News Agency that the “Darra” area has been without telecommunications services for the past 20 years.
For the first time, Salam Telecom has activated a 3G site in this remote location. This initiative is part of the second phase of the tenth project of the Afghanistan Telecom Regulatory Authority (ATRA) under the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology.
With the activation of this site, residents of “Darra” will now have access to telecommunications and internet services.
In addition to the new site in “Darra,” Salam Telecom has also connected its services in the “Pirkoti” area of Argun district, expanding network availability even further.
Recently, Salam Telecom activated its services in the Nika and Zeruk districts of Paktika, marking a significant step forward in improving connectivity in the region.
