Pakistan Transfers Over 100 Afghan Prisoners at Torkham Border

The Pakistani government has handed over a total of 141 Afghan prisoners to the Directorate of Migrant Transfers at the Torkham border.

Bakht Jamal Gowhar, the head of migrant transfers at Torkham, informed the Bakhtar News Agency that the group includes men, women, and children from various provinces, including Kunar, Kapisa, Maidan Wardak, Kunduz, Khost, Kabul, Baghlan, Laghman, Paktia, Bamyan, Uruzgan, and particularly Nangarhar.

Gowhar explained that these individuals had been arrested in different parts of Pakistan despite possessing valid legal documents. After their detention, many were held in prisons in Islamabad for periods ranging from 5 to 10 days before being transferred to Torkham for deportation.
