Pakistan releases another 40 Afghan prisoners

Forty Afghans imprisoned in Pakistan’s Sindh province, including five families, were released from a prison by the order of the Karachi Court of Appeal.
Afghanistan’s Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation, said Tuesday these Afghans will soon return home.
A further 160 Afghans are also expected to be released from Pakistan’s Landi and Peche prisons in the next few days, the ministry said in a statement.
According to Pakistani authorities, the refugees will be transferred to Spin Boldak crossing and handed over to the Kandahar Refugee and Repatriation department.
