Pakistani security forces have fired a fresh volley of rockets into eastern Kunar province, an official said on Monday.
At least 29 rockets were fired into Sheltan district in the past 24 hours, the governor’s spokesman told a television channel.
Abdul Ghani Musamim told 1TV.the rocket attack caused no casualties, but it inflicted property losses on residents.
Last week, at least six civilians were killed in Kunar as a result of unprovoked shelling by the Pakistan military.
On Monday, the Afghanistan Independent Human Right Commission (AIHRC) asked the government to prevent Pakistan’s shelling of Kunar.
The rights watchdog vehemently denounced rockets strikes into Kunar by Pakistan forces and urged the government to defend the people.
